It’s not often that we get a five-point play in the NBA but that’s exactly what happened in the third quarter of Monday’s Nuggets-Clippers game.
With about 8:40 to play, Ty Lawson had to fire up a desperation shot with the shot clock winding down that ended up banking in for a four-point opportunity as he was fouled by Los Angeles guard Chris Paul.
After the play, Chris was given a technical foul for complaining about the call and that’s how Lawson was able to get a 5-point play opportunity:
