As a previous resident of Cleveland, Ohio, I expected that the state, people, former players and Dan Gilbert to celebrate Lebron’s misery.
Thankfully, they didn’t disappoint.
First off, here Dan Gilbert’s Tweet after Lebron lost the title:
“Congrats to Mark C.&entire Mavs org. Mavs NEVER stopped & now entire franchise gets rings. Old Lesson for all:There are NO SHORTCUTS. NONE.”
Second, here is the video that NewsNet 5 story they did after Lebron lost the title:
Third, Ohio governor John Kasich decided to take a shot at Lebron by announcing a declaration that the Dallas Mavericks organization and fans would be named honorary Ohioans:
Kasich riffed off James’s now-famous statement in his resolution in reference to Mavericks power forward Dirk Nowitzki, who was named the most valuable player of the finals, which Dallas won in six games.
“Nowitzki chose to resign with the Dallas Mavericks in the summer of 2010, forgoing free agency and keeping his talents in Dallas, thus remaining loyal to the team, city and fans for whom he played his entire career,” he wrote.
And finally, former teammate Mo Williams posted on his Twitter account the below Tweet:
Dallas just healed my HEART……..
