When Steve Ballmer was named owner of the Los Angeles Clippers, I think we all figured that he would put his unique stamp on the franchise.
Recently, Ballmer met with a group of Clippers season ticket holders at Universal Studios to talk about the upcoming season and decided to note to them, an issue that some of the players brought up to him about the noise level early in games being too low.
Ballmer then asked the fans in attendance at the meeting (and Clippers fans attending games) that he wanted them to show up early for games according to the Los Angeles Times:
“They said the first quarter can be a little lonely,” Ballmer said.
While acknowledging that he wasn’t an expert in Los Angeles traffic, Ballmer asked fans to arrive for tip-off.
“I will just tell you, 10 minutes earlier in your seat and Blake Griffin and Chris Paul are really going to love you,” Ballmer said.
We’ll have to wait and see if Steve’s words resonate with the Clippers fan base.
