Russell Westbrook went wild in the first half, scoring 34 points and seemed well on his way to breaking his career-best in scoring. But he slowed down in the second half as the Thunder blew out the Wolves, 138-113. Russ went for 37 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists. While he didn’t do much scoring in the last 24 minutes of the game, Westbrook went on to claim the scoring title. Westbrook and Kevin Durant are the first teammates to claim scoring titles in consecutive years since 1953.
Highlights of Russell doing his thing is in this video directly below:
But according to Westbrook, the scoring title didn’t mean… anything (he said something more explicit) to him since he’s sitting out the postseason. It was fun while it lasted, Russ. Thanks for the entertainment.
