The New York Post had a Q&A with Knicks president Phil Jackson on Wednesday. And we always love a Michael Jordan/Kobe Bryant comparison. Here’s the latest on what Phil Jackson had to say about those two:
Q: Is Kobe Bryant the model for Carmelo Anthony?
A: No. No one can approach that. I don’t expect anybody to be able to model their behavior after that, although Kobe modeled his behavior a lot about Michael Jordan, but he went beyond Michael in his attitude towards training, and I know Mike would probably question me saying that, but he did.
Yeah, Michael Jordan would definitely dispute that. Both guys are legendary not only on their body of work on the court but their work ethic to get better on their craft. Phil Jackson has coached both so he’s someone that can have a legitimate answer on this.
But it’s not like you can go wrong with either of these players. Both resumes speak for themselves.
Carmelo Anthony sure does have a lot to live up to, though.
