This weekend is the American Century celebrity golf tournament and under normal circumstances, everything is going along as normal except for the fact that Michael Jordan will not be able to play with any of the current NBA players.
We get more from WEEI:
Michael Jordan, arguably the biggest star in basketball history, can’t play golf with any current NBA players in the upcoming American Century Classic celebrity tournament in Stateline, Nev., because he faces a $1 million fine for violating the rules of the lockout that forbid contact between players and owners during the work stoppage. Jordan became the majority owner of the Bobcats last year. Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro faces similar punishment if he is put in a foursome with the NBA players scheduled to appear at the tournament.
Those players include Ray Allen, Deron Williams, Jason Kidd, Shane Battier and Jimmer Fredette.
Hopefully, American Century can accommodate both Jordan and Del Negro for this tournament.
