These days, television have been overrun with shows where people buy storage lockers and end up making a massive profit from the content they find in them.
Recently, a Maryland man by the name of Adrian Petrus bought a storage locker for $300 bucks and when he opened it, he found a treasure trove of Dikembe Mutombo memorabilia:
Once he opened the locker, he found that the unit was jam packed with multiple Mutombo items, including signed basketballs, shoes, jerseys, trading cards, and photos of the former NBA star with celebrities such as Michael Jackson and Nelson Mandela.
So, it begs the question, who was the previous owner of all this stuff? It turns out that the items formerly belonged to one of Mutombo’s brothers.
The locker went up for auction after Mutombo’s brother missed several rental payments while he had gone back home to the Congo to deal with family issues in the wake of his father’s death.
Petrus has tried to contact the Mutombo family regarding the items but hasn’t received a response yet.
