A few months back, it seemed almost absurd that LeBron James would return to the Cleveland Cavaliers but now, that dream for most Cleveland fans has become a reality.
One of the beneficiaries of LeBron’s return to Northeast Ohio is Kyrie Irving and recently, he spoke when CBS Sports Ken Berger about his reaction to LeBron coming home.
Irving told Berger that he was speechless when he heard the news:
“At first you were speechless; you couldn’t believe it,” Irving said. “I’ve been watching LeBron for a while now and now that I’m going to be running alongside him and being his point guard, it’s an honor and hopefully we can do great things.”
When Kyrie was asked about his discussions with LeBron after the word was officially out, he noted that he has talked with LeBron about the roster and style of play that the Cavaliers would implement moving forward:
“We’re all grown-ups here, so we talk every once in a while,” Irving said. “I talked to him about a week ago. We were just talking about different pieces on the team and things we want to do and things we want to accomplish, and that’s exciting.”
Fun times look like they will be coming to Cleveland, again!
