Previously on That NBA Lottery Pick, we mentioned that Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant’s mom was selling some of his high school/NBA memorabilia with Goldin Auctions.
While Kobe stopped a percentage of his own personal items getting sold, that didn’t stop Pam Bryant from the selling a couple of replica rings that Kobe gave her and his father Joe after the team won their first title in the Kobe era.
Check out the full info from the folks over at Dime Magazine:
After the Lakers won the 1999-00 title, Kobe’s first of five, he ordered a couple extra rings for his parents.
His Mom’s size 8 1/2 championship ring is going for $34,529 as of this writing. The size 11 1/2 ring Bryant gave to his father, Joe “Jellybean” Bryant, is up to $81,425 as of this writing. Both rings feature 40 diamonds surrounding a “Lakers” logo.
So, if you happen to have a special Lakers fan in your life with money to blow, I think these might be the perfect gift!
