Kobe Bryant is healthy but that didn’t stop the Laker from being cursed with injuries. Nick Young injured his thumb and is said to be out 6-8 weeks. Kobe’s reaction per Lakers Nation:
Kobe Bryant said losing Nick Young for several weeks is definitely a big loss, saying he brought “enthusiasm, offensive punch and chemistry” to training camp. Scott said with Young out, there will likely be situations when Bryant plays the three.
Nick Young may be a fun-loving character but he pretty much kept the Lakers afloat for most of last season. Young was one of the more productive bench players last season, averaging a career-best 17.9 points per game. He also had his share of bloopers from that wacky 360 lay-up to celebrating too early on a three-pointer.
Of course, Kobe couldn’t resist to talk some more even at the expense of a teammate:
Young hurt thumb reaching in on defense, hitting Kobe's elbow. Kobe to Nick: "My body is made of steel, that's why."

The injury bug has continued to plague the Los Angeles Lakers. Let’s hope both Kobe and Nick Young are made of steel the rest of the season.
