As you may figure, New York Knicks guard Jeremy Lin is somewhat of a hot commodity in Asia and it shouldn’t surprise many that endorsement deals are coming his way.
Recently, Lin inked a deal with the car maker Volvo who is currently owned by the Chinese company Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co. for future endorsement opportunities:
The symbolism of such a deal would be rich… The company is trying to boost Volvo sales in China as part of a strategy to double the brand’s global sales to 800,000 vehicles by 2020. Geely plans to invest up to $11 billion in the effort.” In a prepared statement, Lin said, “You may not immediately see the connection between me and Volvo. But both of us are striving to be better and smarter at what we do, and to do it our own way.”
When the first Jeremy Lin Volvo commercial comes out, it will definitely be a glorious day.
