In the annals of NBA lore, many players have been arrested for a myriad of stupid reasons ranging from getting caught with an inhumane about of marijuana, driving while intoxicated, and even assaulting a police officer or two.
However, Nuggets forward JR Smith found a new way to get arrested while in South Beach, he was arrested for driving a scooter without a license.
We get more from TMZ:
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … Smith, who has played the last five seasons with the Denver Nuggets, was not taken to jail for the offense. We’re told Smith signed a notice to appear — he’ll get his court date later.
Sadly, the police report didn’t inform us of what happened to the scooter but in the end for Jr Smith; “License to Drive” didn’t include scooters in Miami.
