So when Clippers owner Donald Sterling decided to get on his players for their lack of play for the past and this season from his courtside seat.
This quantifies as news, I guess:
Sterling reportedly began the practice of chiding Clippers players from his courtside seat sometime last season, although Davis seems to be getting the worst of it this year. Sterling was quoted as saying to Davis, “Why are you in the game?” “Why did you take that shot?” and “You’re out of shape!”
Despite the fact that Sterling may occasionally have a point about the conditioning and the shot selection, publicly chastising Davis for it probably isn’t the correct course of action.
As you might imagine, Davis isn’t exactly happy about the situation.
“There’s nothing I can say,” Davis said of being heckled by Sterling. “I have no comment on that. You just get to this point where it’s a fight every day. It’s a fight. You’re fighting unnecessary battles. I’m fighting unnecessary battles.”
If we learned anything from GI Joe, knowing is half the battle.
