On his way back from his recent basketball diplomacy tour of North Korea with the Harlem Globetrotters, ex-NBA star Dennis Rodman spoke about his time in this notorious hermit kingdom and his impression of the country’s basketball-crazy leader, Kim Jong Un. In the photo above, these two unlikely amigos can be seen bonding over a basketball game in Pyongyang.
According to The Associated Press, Rodman stated the following in regards to Kim Jong Un.
“He’s proud, his country likes him — not like him, love him, love him”
And, here’s the kicker:
“Guess what, I love him. The guy’s really awesome.”
Will Pyongyang be getting an NBA franchise before Seattle does? Only time will tell.
