Recently, the fine folks over the Cleveland Cavaliers official website decided to create a list of “all-time Cavaliers by numbers one through 50″ and their original choice for the #23 spot was pretty interesting.
Originally, the list had current Utah Jazz head coach Tyrone Corbin listed as the greatest Cavalier to wear the number despite LeBron James holding all the major Cavaliers scoring records.
Check out the below caption that was originally listed under Corbin’s photo:
So many great Cavaliers have worn No. 23, but we went with current Jazz coach, Tyrone Corbin. The digit, made famous by MJ, was also worn by Chris Dudley, Gary Freeman, Rowland Garrett, Mike Bratz, Bruce Flowers, Tyrone Corbin, John Morton, Rod Higgins, Carl Thomas, Derek Anderson and LeBron James.
As you might figure, the Interwebs noted this oversight and the list had to be edited to include LeBron’s photo in Corbin’s place along with this caption:
“Without question, LeBron’s photo belongs here!” the website wrote underneath the photo. “The number 23 was also worn by Chris Dudley, Gary Freeman, Rowland Garrett, Mike Bratz, Bruce Flowers, Tyrone Corbin (we still have great love for you, Tyrone!), John Morton, Rod Higgins, Carl Thomas and Derek Anderson.”
