Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade re-signed with the Miami Heat after LeBron James bolted and returned to Cleveland. Wade still has a friendship with LeBron. But with Bosh? Who knows? They haven’t talked since James made his decision.
Asked by reporters if he had talked to his former teammate since James’ decision to leave the Heat, Bosh answered a succinct, “No.”
As to whether he was looking forward to seeing James on Saturday at the game in Rio de Janeiro, he replied with a lukewarm, “Yeah … I don’t know.”
“I’m in the mode where I’m trying to lead my team, help these guys out around here,” he said.
“If guys aren’t in this locker room, I don’t have much time for them — if any.”
I don’t really blame Chris Bosh for not wanting to talk about LeBron James. Sure, people will blow this up (like we are!) as something but this is a fresh challenge for the power forward. The last thing he probably wants is talk about LeBron James. This may or may not backfire on Bosh.
The Heat take on the Cavs this Saturday for a little preseason action. Their first regular season encounter is part of the usual delicious Christmas schedule.
