Over the years, I’ve seen some pretty bizarre delays happen during NBA games but during tonight’s Miami Heat-Brooklyn Nets affair, we had a rain delay.
With less than two minutes to play in the first quarter, a leak at the Barclays Center (apparently from the roof) caused water to drip onto floor which caused the game to be stopped for player safety.
Check out the below Vine from Nets Daily Reed Wallach which shows water dripping onto the court from above:
After awhile, the Nets maintenance crew had to put down towels to clean up the floor and even bring out a bucket to catch the rain:

All in all, the rain delay lasted for over thirty minutes.
