With the Knicks out of the playoff hunt, Amar’e Stoudemire decided to take a lunch break with his girlfriend in New York and an MVP chant broke out.
We get more from the New York Post:
Amar’e Stoudemire may have exited early from the playoffs, but he got a hero’s welcome at Fred’s at Barneys yesterday. According to sources, diners at the Upper East Side power spot began clapping when they spotted the New York Knick arriving for lunch with his girlfriend, Ciara. One fan even began chanting, “MVP, MVP,” and the rest of the dining room followed suit.
To note, that’s the third MVP chant at a diner in the past three years in New York City. The other two was when Isiah Thomas wanted his steak medium well.
