It’s not often that we get to talk about NBA players buying farms here on That NBA Lottery Pick but you might want to know that New York Knicks Amare Stoudemire just did.
Thanks to the fine folks over at New York Post’s Page 6, we have some details about the time where Amare bought a farm:
The 7-foot center just bought a 190-acre farm in Hyde Park, Dutchess County, closing on the deal two weeks ago.
We’re told he hasn’t planned what he’ll harvest on the land or if he’ll build a larger home on the property. But Stoudemire bought the place so his family and kids can get together on the weekends, we’re told.
I think I’ll be saving the farm jokes for when Andrea Bargnani buys one.
