Stephen Colbert Interviews Knicks Coach Mike D'Antoni, Hilarity Ensues

For the past couple of years, it's been rather hard for the New York Knicks from the Isiah Thomas fiasco to the constant losing.

Well, Stephen Colbert decided to get to the heart of the issues with the Knicks by interviewing head coach, Mike D'Antoni for his "Stevie's Knicks Hoop De Doo".

There is also a pretty funny shot taken at one, Eddy Curry.

The Golden Pipes of Pau Gasol Helps UNICEF

Previously on That NBA Lottery Pick, we featured Pau Gasol as a very busy individual as he made an appearance at Children's Hospital in Los Angeles.

Well, Pau was off to record a song for the benefit of UNICEF to help build schools in Africa.

We get more from Elie Seckbach of AOL Fanhouse:
Two-time NBA champion Pau Gasol of the Los Angeles Lakers is working hard this offseason building schools in remote areas of Ethiopia, where only 20% of the kids attend school. To help raise awareness for the cause, Pau has exposed his hidden talent, his singing ability
Here is the amazing video of Pau flexing the golden pipes:

I guess Pau learned from his "Sing Star" commercial:

Paging Dr. Gasol....Dr Gasol.....Dr. Gasol

Remember that episode of the Twilight Zone where the female adult entertainer is admitted to a hosptial and has a constant dream of going to the morgue with a nurse saying, "Room For One More, Honey?"

Well, recently I started having this dream about being on an operating table while this huge man watches over me. Then, I found this story about Pau Gasol observing a spinal procedure at Children's Hospital in Los Angeles and then everything started to make sense.

We get more from the Business Wire:
After clinching the world title in game seven, Los Angeles Laker Pau Gasol is setting his sights on another victory: raising awareness and support for pediatric research and medicine at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.

On June 24, Gasol donned scrubs—which were special-ordered for his seven-foot frame—and observed a highly complex spinal procedure at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles where Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery, David Skaggs, MD, corrected a 13-year-old patient’s scoliosis.
Well, that's good for Mr. Gasol to be raising support for these causes and living out a childhood dream along with it.

I do feel bad for the kid though, if he woke up during the operation to this scene:

Ron Artest Wants To Handle Chelsea Handler

If you haven't guessed by now, we like the random and eccentric antics of Lakers forward Ron Artest.

Recently, he was on "Chelsea Lately" hosted by comedian Chelsea Handler and he was being typical Ron Artest, making introspective comments and little sense.

Then the conversation took a more interesting turn when Handler asked about the picture of her on Ron's pants.

Nice Ron Artest, Very Nice!

Carmelo's and La La's Wedding Will Be VH1 Special'd

In the National Basketball Association, there are many power couples and one of them is the Denver Nuggets Carmelo Anthony and his paramour, La La Vasquez.

It's been known that they have been engaged for awhile and they will be finally tying the knot on July 10th.

Of course, VH1 decided to make profit out of it by offering a five-part miniseries about the days before it following the bride-to-be.

We get more from The Denver Post:

If your invitation to the Melo-La La nuptials happened to get lost in the mail, don't you worry. VH1 has signed La La Vazquez to a five-part series that will document the festivities and planning surrounding her wedding with Nuggets all-star Carmelo Anthony on July 10 in New York.

According to VH1, the series will feature La La and Mindy Weiss, the "wedding planner to the stars," as the two plan the wedding activities. Cameras will follow La La as she shops for a designer wedding dress and cake, while also featuring the wedding venue and honeymoon planning. And, of course, what's wedding planning without a bachelorette party? The cameras will follow La La to Las Vegas for the debauchery.

The series premieres Sept. 19, and the one-hour finale will feature the wedding ceremony — and the star-studded invitees.
For once, I might be excited to watch a wedding where I don't have to bring a over-priced gift or sleep with one of the ugly bridesmaids.

Somewhere Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian are saying, "We Did It Already".

Let's Play The Lakers Wives Feud, Vanessa Bryant and Khloe Kardashian

Normally when you talk about feuding and the Los Angeles Lakers, it takes us back to the infamous Shaq/Kobe feud of 2004.

Well, we have a new feud and this one trumps it since it is not being fought on the court but off it. Allegedly, Kobe Bryant's wife, Vanessa is not on good terms with Lamar Odom's wife, Khloe Kardashian.

We get more from In Touch Weekly:
Khloé Kardashian is feeling unloved — not because of her husband, Lamar Odom, but because of one of his Lakers teammates’ wives. According to an insider, Kobe Bryant’s wife, Vanessa, “hates” Khloé and her entire family, whom she sees as attention-grabbing fame-seekers. And instead of hiding her feelings, Vanessa refuses to have anything to do with the 26-year-old.

“She won’t sit anywhere near Khloé at Lakers games,” the insider reveals, adding that because of Vanessa’s dislike of her, Khloé has been shut out of the tight-knit circle the other Lakers’ wives have formed.

“At a dinner for the wives, Vanessa didn’t want to invite Khloé,” the insider shares. “She said Khloé is a ‘fake wife,’ and she didn’t want fake wives there.” The feeling is mutual. The insider says Khloé and Vanessa have “gotten into fights” in the past
Can't we all just get along ladies? If your husband's can do it on the court, I'm pretty sure you ladies can do it off it.

Or at least you can fake it on camera for the new season of "Kourtney and Khloe".

Brian Scalabrine Raps, Seriously!

Among many of the talents of Boston Celtics reserve Brian Scalabrine, I didn't think that he could he rap. I was completely wrong on that assumption.

Recently, he was doing his normal guest appearance of Boston's 98.5, "The Toucher and Rick Show" and showed off some of his rapping skills in a game called, "Who is Scal Covering?"

Now marvel in the greatness that is "Scal-nilla Ice":

Ohio's John Kasich Might Want To Rethink His Stance on Lebron James

You would think something like politics would be a "Lebron James Free Zone" but you would be wrong.

Ohio Republican Gubernatorial candidate John Kasich was recently on The Alan Colmes Show when Colmes asked him about his opponent (Democrat Ted Strickland) singing to keep Lebron James in that infamous video, "Please Stay Lebron":

Your opponent has joined the chorus to keep James in Cleveland. I just wonder if you’re gonna join that
Then Kasich responded rather poorly:

Yeah, that's probably not going to get him alot of votes in Ohio. The Ohio Democrats obviously heard about it and created this site called, "Ohioans Against Lebron" with a rather interesting photoshopped picture of John Kasich as a banner.

The Strange Ty Lawson/Kim Kardashian Twitter Saga

The one thing that I learned about when NBA players use Twitter is that they pretty much choose to say anything they want.

The below Tweet was supposedly sent by Denver Nuggets guard Ty Lawson in regards to his wanting to bed Kim Kardashian after two males flames of the Kardashians sisters (Reggie Bush and Lamar Odom) have won championships in their respective sports.

Normally this would be the end of the story and we would make some comic remark towards to Ty Lawson and Kim Kardashian. However, we ended up finding out that Ty Lawson wasn't those Tweets, we'll let him explain in this tweet:

So, some random person found Ty Lawson's and decide to fool around with his Twitter account? It sounds a little fishy but we'll give Lawson the benefit of the doubt here.

What NBA players should learn from this is that Twitterverse is a crazy place and always remember to sign-out of your account when on your phone.

Famous Boston Celebrities Take Out Celtics Tribute Ad

Although the Celtics were unable to win the 2010 NBA Finals, they still should be commended for the job they did during the 2010 NBA playoffs.

A group of the Celtics' most famous fans, ranging from actors and comedians to other Boston-area pro athletes, has honored the team with a full-page advertisement in the Globe this morning.
