More NBA Playoff Teams, "Gone Fishin"

For some sinking reason, I have a sinking feeling that most of you out there in interweb-land love the TNT segment, "Gone Fishin".

For those of you that don't know about it (what rock have you been living under?), it's the one where eliminated playoff teams get the glory of being photo-shopped into some fishing expedition.

Well, last night with the elimination of the Dallas Mavericks and Portland Trail Blazers, we got to add to that "Gone Fishin" list.

Derek Fisher Does Not Scrap At The Waffle House

One of the stranger stories that I heard this week was about Lakers starting point guard Derek Fisher.

Allegedly when the Lakers were in Oklahoma City to play the Thunder, he got into fight at a local Waffle House. However, that ended up being a mistaken rumor and the real story is somewhat more interesting.

We get more from TMZ:

Los Angeles Lakers star Derek Fisher wants to make one thing clear -- he's no Waffle House brawler.

Reports surfaced yesterday that the Lakers guard was involved in a fight at a Waffle House in Oklahoma City last week.

But Derek told TMZ the full story, and says the only truth is he was at a Waffle House -- a year ago!

He says the brawl went down when two dudes began scrapping over Derek's autograph. Derek says he was "an innocent bystander," and cops eventually broke up the fight.
Some people are probably wondering why this would be so misconstrued but it's prolly a bit of gamesmanship from Oklahoma City fans.

My real question is who scraps over a Derek Fisher autograph?

Can Charles Barkley Name the Bucks Starting Five?

One of tonight's exciting NBA playoff affairs is game five of the Milwaukee Bucks/Atlanta Hawks series.

Ummm...Lebron. There's a Ballboy Right There

There are a certain number of people out there who love to pile on the Lebron James hate train and the below video might be one that it somewhat hard to ignore.

After checking back into game 4 of the Bulls/Cavs series in Chicago, Lebron appears to be taking off his warm-ups after checking back into the game.

A Chicago Bulls ballboy appears in the frame to pick-up James warm-ups but instead of handing them to him, Lebron tosses them onto the ground.

NEVER Wear an Atlanta Hawks Jersey Around Bango the Deer

Previously on That NBA Lottery Pick, (well actually 15 minutes ago) we featured Milwaukee Bucks mascot, Bango the Deer doing an awesome reverse back-flip dunk during Bucks/Hawks game four.

Well, before the dunk, Bango the Deer decided to take out some of his frustrations on Atlanta Hawks jersey-wearin' peeps in the below highlight package.

Milwaukee Bucks Mascot, Bango the Deer is THE MAN

The Milwaukee Bucks have evened their playoff series with the Atlanta Hawks at 2-2 and even mascot, Bango the Deer is turning heads as well.

This pretty awesome stunt during a stoppage of play in game 4 has Bango climb up a 15-foot ladder and then dunk the basketball in reverse.

That's pretty awesome but one false move and he becomes a "deer in the backboard".

The NBA on Cartoon Network?

There was once a period of time that Cartoon Network only showed cartoons and I think some of us were happy with that.

Well, Cartoon Network recently partnered with the NBA to create NBA-related programming for younger children and this will be the spoils of this partnership.

We get more from Broadcast and Cable:

The network is also taking advantage of its relationship with Turner Sports on Run It Back Sunday. The show will take the NBA On TNT game of the week and remix it into an hour, adding special effects (like flames around the net or ball) and pop up trivia about the game and players.
So I guess you could say that it would sorta be like NBA Jam sans controller for your eight year old son. I will say that it will be interesting to see how the show will be presented and how the special effects will be utilized.

At least now, The New Jersey Nets can finally be presented in the way they should be.

Charles Barkley "Stumped" by Kenny Smith's Brain Teaser

Last night's "EJ Neat-O Stat of the Night" had an interesting twist at the end which even M Night Shyamalan didn't see coming.

Kenny Smith decided to show Charles Barkley a brain teaser puzzle where Charles had to navigate through a representation of a snowy hill with trees without hitting a tree. Charles past the first part of the test by doing it successfully with his eyes open.

Then Kenny told him to do it with his eyes closed.

LMAO, I think Charles Barkley feels how James Johnson felt a couple days ago.

I think some of you probably were asking this question to yourselves recently, "What happened to former New Jersey Nets head coach Lawrence Frank?"

Charles Barkley Calls Kenny/Ernie, "A-Holes"

There are few men in today's society that can say what is on their mind and get away with it.

One of those men is TNT NBA analyst Charles Barkley and well, last night he decided to up the ante on things you probaly shouldn't say on live televison.

For the halftime segment called "T-Mobile's Questions For Chuck", two enterprising ladies asked Chuck whether he prefered blondes or brunettes. Kenny and Ernie decided to laugh it up at Chuck's expense but the Chuckster fought back.

Good Job Charles, sometimes you need to keep those two in line but it's good that you didn't give away any of those Charles Barkley sexual secrets.

By the way, my own personal preference on the question of blondes or brunettes is any hair color on Anna Kendrick but no one asks me any questions these days.

Even the Charlotte Bobcats Have A Playoff Song

It's been awhile since the city of Charlotte has tasted the NBA playoffs (nine to be exact) and this the first season their Bobcats have reached the NBA's second season.

Obviously, someone in the city has to create some sort of playoff theme music to get their local crowd pumped up.

Enter, DJ Complete who decided to create his own called, "Bobcats Playoff Anthem".

I'm still not 100% sure that rapping, "Bobcats....Playoffs" for 65% of the song really quantifies it as an anthem but who am I to judge.

It's About To Be A Kevin Garnett/Q-Rich Fight

Nearing the end of the Miami Heat-Boston Celtics game one affair, Boston Celtic Paul Pierce went down with an apparent knee injury during the final 40 seconds of the game.

When Pierce's teammates decide to go check on him, Miami Heat guard Quentin Richardson comes into the picture and appears to say something in the direction of Pierce.

Pierce's teammate Kevin Garnett takes exception to whatever Richardson said and elbows him in the face which starts a mini-brawl near the baseline. Garnett after the game said that Richardson was "talking nonsense" to Pierce and that he was giving common courtesy to an injured player. Garnett was eventually ejected from the game and could possibly face suspension for game two of the series.

The below video includes the fight in it's entirety along with Garnett's ejection.

UPDATE-Chicago Breaking Sports is reporting that Kevin Garnett will be suspended for game two of the Heat/Celtics series and the Heat's Quentin Richardson will be fined 25K for his actions that led up to this fight.

Our Magic 8 Ball Predicts the First Round of the 2010 NBA Playoffs

With the first round of the NBA Playoffs only starting one day, NBA blogs and professional NBA analysts are quickly making their predictions about who will win in each of the first round series.

Some will be using their knowledge of that game that uses statisical facts and figures. Some will have the insider knowledge that only comes from playing in the NBA.

We here at That NBA Lottery Pick have neither so we had to go with the next best thing, our Magic 8 Ball. To answer, each playoff query, we will ask the Magic 8 Ball who will win each series and hopefully get a response from it. To factor in the seeding, we will give the team with the higher seed, the benefit of the doubt and will ask the Magic 8 Ball if they will win the series.

Here we go:

Western Conference First Round

(1) Los Angeles Lakers vs. (8) Oklahoma City Thunder

With Phil Jackson planting the mind-seed into the head of Kevin Durant, it would appear that the Lakers would have the upper hand in this series.

The response from our Magic 8 Ball: "Without a Doubt"

8 Ball Pick: Los Angeles Lakers

(2) Dallas Mavericks vs. (7) San Antonio Spurs

In this Texas Two-Step, we have the old-guard in the San Antonio Spurs with Tim Duncan, Manu, and Tony Parker. Then we have a young-gun team in the Dallas Mavericks with Dirk Nowitzki, Jason Terry, Caron Butler, and the never-aging Jason Kidd.

On first glance it would appear that the Mavericks would have the upper hand in the series.

The response from our Magic 8 Ball: "Yes, Defintely"

8 Ball Pick: Dallas Mavericks

(3) Phoenix Suns vs. (6) Portland Trail Blazers

The 3/6 matchup out west is a rather interesting one between the Phoenix Suns and he Portland Trailblazers. Most left the Suns for dead for the beginning of the season and many people though that Portland couldn't survive their injury bug.

I'd would assume that Phoenix would have the upper hand based on health.

The response from our Magic 8 Ball: After getting a "Concentrate And Ask Again", "Cannot Predict Now" and a "Ask Again Later", we finally got our answer, "Outlook Not So Good"

8 Ball Pick: Portland Trail Blazers

(4) Denver Nuggets vs. (5) Utah Jazz

The two teams that many people expected to be at the top of the Western Conference at the end of the season are duking it out for the right to play the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Jazz aren't a great road team and the Nuggets are playing for their head coach, so we'd assume Denver would have the upper hand.

The response from our Magic 8 Ball: "Signs Point to Yes"

8 Ball Pick: Denver Nuggets

Eastern Conference First Round

(1) Cleveland Cavaliers vs. (8) Chicago Bulls

On paper, this appears to be the easiest first round between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Chicago Bulls. However, that's what many people through of the 1994 first round match-up between the Seattle Supersonics and the Denver Nuggets.

The Cavaliers have a hungry Lebron James and the Bulls have inter-office turmoil between head coach, Vinny Del Negro and general manager, John Paxson. It would appear that Cleveland should cake-walk through this series.

The response from our Magic 8 Ball: "You May Rely On It"

8 Ball Pick: Cleveland Cavaliers

(2) Orlando Magic vs. (7) Charlotte Bobcats

The Orlando Magic/Charlotte Bobcats match-up is a interesting one at first glance. Orlando seems battle-tested enough to win the series but Charlotte has a solid group of veterans and can throw many big bodies at Dwight Howard.

It would seem to me that the playoff experience leads to the Magic to the win.

The response from our Magic 8 Ball: "Most Likely"

8 Ball Pick: Orlando Magic

(3) Atlanta Hawks vs. (6) Milwaukee Bucks

The Hawks/Bucks match-up looked like it would be a series to remember until Bucks center Andrew Bogut broke his arm.

The Bucks have talented players such as Jerry Stackhouse, John Salmons, and Young-Gun Brandon Jennings. Some would say that Atlanta's experience gives them the edge in this series.

The response from our Magic 8 Ball: "Very Doubtful"

8 Ball Pick: Milwaukee Bucks

(4) Boston Celtics vs. (5) Miami Heat

The Celtics/Heat series is a match-up of two former NBA Champions who appear to be on their last legs at the moment.

The Celtics have faded fast in the regular season and Miami is a one-man show with Dwayne Wade. Some would say the Celtics will eeked this one out.

The Response from our Magic 8 Ball: "Most Likely"

8 Ball Pick: Boston Celtics

For what the second round match-ups would look like according to the Magic 8 Ball:

Western Conference

(1) Los Angeles Lakers vs. (4) Denver Nuggets
(2) Dallas Mavericks vs. (6) Portland Trailblazers

Eastern Conference

(1) Cleveland Cavaliers vs. (4) Boston Celtics
(2) Orlando Magic vs. (6) Milwaukee Bucks

So there, you have it. We didn't have to use any complicated formulas or even sit on the bench in the NBA to give rock-solid predictions. Now, go out there and watch those games.

That NBA Lottery Pick Named ESPN SportsNation Site They Like...Last Week

For those of you that have been frequent viewers this blog, you might have noted that we have a patron saint of sorts. Kissing Suzy Kolber has ESPN NFL analyst Suzy Kolber and we here at That NBA Lottery Pick have ESPN SportsNation's Michelle Beadle.

So, it would come as no surprise to us that we were named to the amazing list of SportsNation's Sites They Like. The only problem was that it happened last week.

Somehow, we missed seeing this facts regardless of the Tweets/E-Mails sent to us and that carrier pigeon that SportsNation sent as well. (For some reason, I blame Sylvester the Cat on that one.)

So, we technically didn't see it live and didn't receive direct knowledge of it till the weekend. However, the very gracious people at SportsNation decided to throw us a bone and post the video of it.

Yep, we got some cheers and thankfully Colin decided to extend our airtime by mentioning something about Kobe Bryant. (Thanks Colin!)

We'd like to apologize to patron saint Michelle Beadle for not seeing it live. The one day that we can't get in front of the television to watch SportsNation, we miss our one shining moment. If the site's crew ever meets Ms. Beadle in person, we'll bring cake, we promise.

Meanwhile, we like to thank all of you out there in blogosphere-land for your continued support and we promise to continue providing the best in off-topic and funny NBA-related news.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to live up to some promises I made to the blogospheric gods on this one.

The two things that I do know about Kobe Bryant is that he is a relentless competitor and can do anything on the basketball court that he desires.

Well, ESPN NBA analyst Jeff Van Gundy decided to go against rule number two and tell Kobe in a practice before a Lakers/Spurs game that he had the worst left-handed jump hook that he has ever seen and he should never try it in a game.

Recently on That NBA Lottery Pick, we featured a couple of videos of Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowtizki in parodies of Tron and the Big Lebowski.

Well, Mavs speedy guard Rodrigue Beaubois got his moment in the below video which shows him as the classic collegiate football film character, "Rudy".

"Don't Worry About Carmelo, He's Not Injured"...Oh Wait

During last night's Denver Nuggets/Oklahoma City Thunder affair, Nuggets star Carmelo Anthony got knocked unconscious late in the 3rd quarter and ended up laying down on the court unaware of what was going on around him.

Then one of the strangest moments that I have ever seen in an NBA game happened.

For some reason, instead of stopping the play to have Denver's trainers check on the health of Carmelo Anthony, the referees let play resume. So the Thunder inbounded the ball with Carmelo Anthony sprawled out on the opposite side of the court. Thankfully due to a head's up play by JR Smith, the Nuggets didn't lose any points due to this little error in judgment by the officials.

Carmelo ended up returning later early in the 4th quarter as the Nuggets went onto win the game by the score of 98-94.

"Don't Worry, Be Happy" with Classic NBA Clips

Back in the late 80's/early 90's, the NBA created promotional highlight packages set to music to be shown during halftime of local broadcasters NBA telecasts or commercial filler for stations showing NBA games.

Well, this clip comes to us from 1989 from a Prime Ticket telecast set to that classic hit by Bobby McFerrin, "Don't Worry, Be Happy."

This video also includes one of my favorite classic NBA clips of back to back half court shots in three seconds by Danny Manning and Buck Johnson.

Don Nelson Goes Suit-Shopping

Last night, Don Nelson became the winningest coach in NBA history with a total of 1,333 wins when the Golden State Warriors beat the Minnesota Timberwolves by the score of 116-107.

In honor of Nellie's record-breaking win, we here at That NBA Lottery Pick have decided to un-earth this clip from 2009 of Don Nelson shopping for a suit in Cassara's - Pro Italy in Dublin, California for Warriors Weekly.

Congratulations Don from us here at That NBA Lottery Pick on your 1,333 wins and if you choose to break out into song about it, I would go with the below clip.

Dirk Nowitzki as "Tron" and The Dude from "The Big Lebowski"

In the world of YouTube clips, the below two videos might be instant-classics for Dallas Mavericks fans.

They are of star forward Dirk Nowitzki as The Dude from "The Big Lebowski" and him in the world of Tron.

For my German viewers to describe these videos, all I need to say is, "Eindrucksvoll".

Dan Gadzuric's Shoe Malfunction

During last night's Chicago Bulls-Milwaukee Bucks affair, Bucks center Dan Gadzuric had a shoe problem in the second quarter.

After a Bucks defensive stop, Gadzuric can be seen attempting to try and tie his shoe in the backcourt.

The most amazing part of this video is that it takes a full 19 seconds for Gadzuric to stop tying his shoe.

In the end, we'll never know what was going through Dan Gadzuric's mind but "wooden shoe like to know."

VH1's Basketball Wives Reality Show, (Insert Witty Retort Here)

There are a certain people who like to watch VH1 and I'm not going to fault them for doing so. Last year, a reality show was approved by VH1 called "Basketball Wives" which was going to follow the lives of NBA players wives.

The only issue with that is not a single cast member is currently married to an NBA player unless you count being engaged to Matt Barnes.

We get more from SportsbyBrooks:

VH1’s Basketball Wives reality show debuts on Sunday. Following the lives of actual wives of NBA players sounds like a colossal bore, but I’m happy to report that this show will be anything but that. Of the six cast members, exactly zero are married to current NBA players.

Instead we get Jennifer Williams, who is married to former NBA journeyman Eric Williams. Shaunie O’Neal, who recently divorced Shaq. Suzie Ketcham, who is divorced from Michael Olowokandi. Gloria Govan, who is engaged to Matt Barnes and is the sister of Gilbert Arenas baby mama Laura Govan. And baby mamas Royce Reed (Dwight Howard) and Evelyn Lozada (Antoine Walker).
The show on first glance sounds like it would be right up VH1's alley and to be honest, I might check out an episode or two.

To note, Shaunie O'Neal (Shaq's-Ex) is the show's executive producer and it would not surprise me if she drops some Shaq-related disses in the show. However, I think Shaq's second rap album did enough of that already.

So get your TiVo's ready, the premiere is this Sunday at 10pm et/pt.

Hasheem Thabeet/Matt Barnes Brewhaha

During last sunday's Memphis Grizzlies-Orlando Magic affair, Memphis's Hasheem Thabeet got into a little tussle with Orlando Magic forward Matt Barnes.

There was a little pushing and shoving but this post is more for the entertainment value of Matt Barnes acting-out against the 7'3 Hasheem Thabeet.

Sometimes, we need to learn that maybe challenging a guy more than a foot taller than us is not the greatest idea.

Kobe Bryant's Guest Appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live

On last night's "Jimmy Kimmel Live", Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant had a guest appearance to talk about the Los Angeles Lakers, a possible Kobe-Lebron NBA Finals match-up and the infamous play where he got a little grabby with Andre Igoudala.

One of the more interesting parts of the interview is when Kobe mentions a story about beating Brian Shaw when he was 11.

Man, I wish I had game like that when I was 11.

Justin Timberlake and Jamie Foxx, "Win Or Go Home" TNT Spot

With the NBA playoffs coming ever so close, TNT is beginning to run their NBA playoff commercial spots titled, "Win or Go Home."

In the below advertisement, TNT uses two of the biggest stars in music, Jamie Foxx and Justin Timberlake to discuss the underlying stories of the NBA playoffs.

Then, all of a sudden after arguing about basketball knowledge, JT and Mr. Foxx get into an awesome one-on-one battle.

If I learned anything from Kenny Smith, my money is always on Timberlake.

Earthquakes Do Not Phase Pau Gasol

For those of you that missed the news, Southern California had a 7.2 earthquake on Sunday afternoon.

The earthquake hit about a couple minutes after the end of the Los Angeles Lakers loss to the San Antonio Spurs when the media was interviewing players.

Lakers forward Pau Gasol was talking to ESPN Los Angeles when this all went down.

I give Pau credit to say the least, he didn't lose his cool when he was on camera and I'm pretty sure that people from Spain don't have this much experience with seismic activity of this magnitude.

However, I do have a feeling that Carole King will be played at the next Lakers home game.

"Dirk: Origins" Will Blow Your Mind

Some NBA fans might describe Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki as a "super-human" basketball player when he is on the court.

Well, the below video features Dirk's rise to the NBA as a video comic book which is to be shown at Dallas Mavericks home affairs.

I'm still waiting on the Popeye Jones version.

Andray Blatche's Triple Double That Almost Was

Most of you in the world-wide blogosphere were probably not paying attention to yesterday's Washington Wizards-New Jersey Nets affair.

Well, Wizards forward Andray Blatche had a terrific game where his stat line was one rebound short of his first career triple-double.

With about 35 seconds left in the game, Andray was determined to get that one rebound and appeared that he would have his triple-double on two different occasions.

Man, what a way to get robbed of a triple-double. You get a rebound but you get called for the foul and then your teammate accidentally steals one away from you.

I have some sinking feeling that Cartier Martin might be getting Blatche some sort of gift or compensation in the next couple of weeks but on some level, Blatche is still probably wondering what might have been.

Who Loves Gatorade? Dwight Howard Loves Gatorade

Recently, Gatorade created this series of viral videos called, "Gatorade G Series: Locker Room" where they have a high-profile athlete talk about how Gatorade refuels them.

The latest viral video starred Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard who decided to bare his love of Gatorade to the world.

To note at the :48 second mark, he has a little issue opening the bottle of the new Gatorade G3 Recovery.

Playing an April Fools Prank on Kenyon Martin, BAD IDEA

April Fools Day was only a couple days ago but I have a feeling that many of you out there are cleaning up the mess created by some intrepid pranker.

Denver Nuggets forward Kenyon Martin was pranked by a former Nuggets employee when he filled his car with buttered popcorn.

The only problem was that Martin didn't find that joke to be too funny.

We get more from ESPN.com:

On a night when the Denver Nuggets should have been celebrating a much-needed victory over the Portland Trail Blazers, the franchise continued to struggle with off-the-court issues when an April Fools' Day joke sparked anything but laughter.

During Denver's 109-92 victory Thursday, a former Nuggets ball boy, Laquan Johnson, got into the club's locker room, took Kenyon Martin's car keys and filled the player's Range Rover with buttered popcorn. The car had a white interior.

Martin discovered the damage as he was about to exit Denver's Pepsi Center. At the time, he had no idea who had pulled the prank. Angered, he went back to the locker room spewing profanities and threats at teammates and other members of the organization.

"That ain't no [expletive] joke," Martin said. "I'm going to find out who did it ... put my [expletive] hands on one of y'all. I'm going to put my hands on whoever did it. You better believe that. It's [expletive] personal. You better believe it."

Martin, who has missed 15 games with a torn patella tendon in his left knee, threatened to boycott the postseason if he did not find out who was responsible.

"How 'bout if I don't play in the playoffs until somebody tells me who did it," Martin said more than once.

Martin stormed in and out of the locker room several times, and a person close to him said his anger was not over the prank, but over the fact that someone could go into his pocket and take his keys during a game. Realizing the culprit had to have access to the private code for the team's gated parking lot, he assumed members of the organization either pulled the stunt or assisted in it.

"The fact that no one saw it or had anything to say about it -- not security, not the equipment manager," a person close to Martin said, explaining the player's anger. "Somebody had to see it. He was wondering how the organization let something like that happen. What if the kid had really wanted to do something evil?"

Later, Martin found out Johnson, the former ball boy who is now the driver for teammate J.R. Smith, was responsible. Johnson apologized to Martin and agreed to pay for the damage to his car.
The major lesson to learn from this is that you never play a prank on an NBA player with a rather sizeable-temper or don't prank someone who has a white interior in their car with buttered popcorn.

Al Pacino to play Pat Riley in "Showtime" Movie

Most people would say that today has been a blow-out day of stuff here on That NBA Lottery Pick but this is the final news nugget for today.

It has been learned that there is going to be a movie chronicling the 1980's Los Angeles Lakers called, "Showtime". The person they have tabbed to play Lakers coach Pat Riley is none other than actor Al Pacino.

We get more from Flicksided:
A trusted source has informed us that Al Pacino will star as Pat Riley in the tentatively titled “Showtime,” a film about the fast times and eventual fallout of the 80s Los Angeles Lakers dynasty (Riley heading to NYC, Magic Johnson contracting HIV, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar becoming a pariah, etc.).

Apparently, Robert De Niro as Vince Lombardi got some wheels turning in Hollywood. Given the amount of screenwriters who are Los Angeles Lakers fans, a producer probably went out and picked up a script as soon as he/she realized that Pacino and Riley were doppelgangers. The real interesting part of this story is that the same kind of CGI technology used on Brad Pitt in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button will apparently be used to make Pacino appear younger during the bulk of the film, which takes place in the 80s and 90s.
Nothing like a little bit of CGI-Al Pacino to finish off the day.

I am hoping though that this movie does come to fruition and I have no doubt in my mind that Pacino could play Pat Riley. He did a solid job as a football coach in Oliver Stone's Any Given Sunday, so the stretch is not too big here.

My only real question left is whose going to play Paula Abdul, Jack Nicholson or Dyan Cannon?

Ron Artest's Appearance on George Lopez Tonight

Last night, Ron Artest appeared on George Lopez Tonight to dish about The Lake Show, surprise Usher, and other random Ron Artest-related news.

Not only did he sit down for an interview, Ron decided to bust out some lyrical genius in front of George Lopez audience.

Keep doin' what do, Tru Warrior.

Ron Artest's Reality Show Will Conquer All

It is not secret that one of my favorite players in National Basketball Association is Ron Artest and you can tell that I'm gleeful with the news that he will be getting his own reality show.

The show will be called, "They Call Me Crazy"

We get more from Sportress of Blogitude:
The series will document the ups and downs of Artest’s life, allowing him to “make amends for past transgressions,” according to E1 Entertainment, and help develop aspiring musicians through his hip-hop label, Tru Warier, to be supported by E1 Music.

“I’m really excited to have the opportunity to invite people into my world to see the real me, and show them there are many more sides to the Ron Artest they see on the basketball court,” Artest said in a statement.
This reality show will be pretty interesting to say the least and will at least give us a look at one of the more misunderstood people in the NBA.

All I ask in return is that the show doesn't turn into "The T.O. Show" and Ron Artest writes the theme song.

Charles Barkley Shows Off His Bling

During last night's NBA Tip-Off show, Charles Barkley decided to show up on the set with some premier bling.

Allegedly, someone on the staff had bought it and Barkley to decided to wear it on-air. Kenny Smith then decided to question whether it was real or not and the staff decided to make fun of it as, "Mr. T Bling".

After that, all hell broke loose on the T-Mobile Halftime Report as Charles decided to take his look back a couple of decades.

I think the image of Charles doing Roy Green will be etched in my mind forever.
